I write this entry whilst lying in bed at my billets in Saarbr?(Germany). We have just been to a ‘Schwenker’; the precise meaning of which we have been wondering for days. It turned out to encompass both a very cool manner of cooking meat over a hot fire (pictures shall be provided when I get real internet) and the party that accompanies said occasion. Hmmmm sehr gut!

I am staying with Jim and we are billeted with an engineer (town planner) and his wife who works in sustainable development at the same organisation. Lovely people.

Tomorrow we shall most likely arise early for fr?k and hit the old town. It should be more fun than today’s 7 hours of train travel!

I hope all is well in Melbourne (or indeed other parts of the world from which this may be read, however unlikely).
