Pontifex maximus mortus est…

Hmmmm… Riding before breakfast is great :) . Bacon and eggs on toast for breakfast was therefore fully justified :)

Still no responses on the Waterfront IT mailout so far. Have distributed only 108 at this point – 52 more to do for this building, then I’ll wait a bit before doing the other ones (and perhaps coming up with a less labour-intensive method of production).

Haven’t been reading Richard Branson for a couple of days, but it’s been on my mind – something to aspire to! (perhaps not the crazy ballooning – I’ll leave such things to Ben :p)

Btw, you know you’re addicted to blogs when that’s how you hear about the Pope’s death – I still haven’t seen anything on tv about it. I want to see the smoke coming from the cardinal’s election :p (it’s like Angels & Daemons all over again :p)

Have been thinking lately about Apple. I seriously reckon they are going to become the megacorporation of the 21st century. They have all the momentum at the moment, and people are going to (if they’re not already) get shit-scared over all the viruses and spyware. By the time Microsoft catches on, it will be too late. Apple is already poised to take on a Sony-like status (with the marketshare to boot). I suspect that unless Microsoft play their cards properly, we’ll see Apple dominate the desktop too. Radical, perhaps, but I think it will happen. I wonder if Apple are looking into disruptive technologies (nanotech, quantum computing, etc.) – that will prove to be the key.

Anyway, just my ramblings for now. Who knows, I may come up with a reasoned (but factually lacking – this is a blog, after all) analysis – it is something I have been thinking about recently.

Of course, I’ve been thinking about google too, but I’ve just got this vibe that something is going to kill their dominance over the next few years…

More randomness later :)
